The third reunion moved to a new venue -- the Green Turtle Restaurant in Laurel, Maryland (the next town to the north of Beltsville). The elusive Charlie Hopkins made an appearance -- and it was the first time I had seen him since leaving Maryland for California in 1976. And it was so great to have so many ladies in attendance.
I timed this trip to coincide with a visit to High Point High School (me and many of my friends were in the HPHS class of 1965) 50th Anniversary of the school. There was an all-day open house that enjoyed heavy attendance.
The book had been in print for about one year and many of the High Point faithful had purchased copies.
